IN SIMPLE TERMS ------ WHAT ARE WRINKLES?.
The Dermis is the middle layer of skin and is a place of much activity, here capillaries bring blood flow to the skin. You will find sweat glands, nerve endings and hair bulbs here. And of course there is COLLAGEN and ELASTINE
FIBRES, it is these that give the strength and support to skin. The Dermis undergoes major changes as we age—and nobody is exempt.
COLLAGEN and ELASTINE FIBRES begin to break down, The top layers of the skin fall down into the open area between the breakdowns.
SO A WRINKLE IS BORN.
To compound this, COLLAGEN & ELASTINE producing cells called fibroplasts become far less active. The skin cannot produce enough COLLAGEN
fibres that are needed to maintain the skins strength and suppleness or repair damage.
SO A WRINKLE IS GENERALLY A
DEPLETION OF COLLAGEN IN THE SKIN .
~~~~IT IS THAT SIMPLE~~~~.
